CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT
“Chronic Pain” is defined as pain that continues without relief for longer than six months. This condition is often frustrating and debilitating. Many patients have been evaluated and treated by multiple health care professionals, but continue to experience pain.
Physical therapists can assist patients in managing their symptoms and improving their quality of life through education, posture, body mechanics, exercise, and modalities including heat, cold, electric stimulation, and massage when needed.
