Hand and Wrist Injuries
Sprains, fractures, tendon lacerations, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and amputations are common wrist, hand and finger injuries. Splints are used to maintain proper joint alignment and allow healing. Modalities including ice, heat, whirlpool, paraffin bath and Graston Technique assist in reducing edema and promoting healing.
Exercise restores range of motion and strength which allows return to previous functional activities. The therapists at Carolina Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine treat and successfully rehabilitate all types of hand injuries and conditions.
