Katie Hicks
North Charleston Clinic Director
Katie received her bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and graduated from the University of Montana with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. Additionally, she worked as a graduate assistant for the Neural Injury Center, performing testing and research collection for traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) under a grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Following graduation, she completed a residency in orthopedic manual therapy and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. She is also certified in concussion management and trigger point dry needling.
Katie has a strong background in athletics and has participated in a variety of sports throughout her life. In college, she was a Division I swimmer and water polo player and enjoys working with overhead athletes. She has an interest in treating hip pain, running injuries, and the shoulder, but loves all aspects of physical therapy from weekend warriors to the elderly. In her free time, she likes to scuba dive, travel, fish, hunt, camp, and be outdoors enjoying God’s creation. She recently gave birth to her first son, PJ, who will be 1-year-old in July.
